Abstract An analysis was carried out to show whether the Warmi?sko-Mazurskie Voivodeship (Poland) could become energy self-sufficient. The technical potential of electricity and heat from renewable sources has been calculated. calculated values are 6.93 TWh/year 15.84 PJ/year heat—these amounts would ensure independence Voivodeship. is an example transformation towards “green” energy, it shows that such also possible in Poland even short term.
